The Redwood Club was established in 1989 and is administrated by the Redwood Day Care Charitable Trust, a non-for-profit organisation. It operates from Red Wood hall, 83 Redwood Avenue Tawa, which is owned by Tawa Union Church.
It provides a happy, caring and safe environment for members of the community who require the stimulation and support of a balanced day activity support programme. Club members come from an area which runs from Johnsonville to Aotea Lagoon.
High quality professional care is provided everyday by a combination of registered nurses, caregivers and volunteers.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
-
To provide a place where people suffering from any condition that leaves them dependent on others, can receive good care, can socialise and be stimulated in many ways.
-
To assist carers so that their dependant relatives can continue to live in the community.
-
To be an educational and supportive resource for families and individuals in the community.
-
We endeavour to provide professional yet sensitive and personal care, in a relaxed atmosphere.
